Background
The Sarova Hotels Ltd is an independently owned group with four hotels in UK and seven in Kenya. The company was selling its inventories through ten distribution channels since 2007, but the manual process of updating was turning out to be time consuming. Also with web savvy guests becoming more rate articulate, it was important to expand the distribution portfolio.

Opportunity
Sarova Hotels were using different channel managers across the property portfolio to manage sales channels however some were finding their system difficult to use. They therefore sought an application which would offer better control and flexibility to manage all roomtypes including supplements, packages and upgrades.

Solution
The breakthrough came when Sarova Hotels purchased Christopher Wren Windsor Hotel in UK, which had been using RTSuite RTChannelmanager Pro to manage online distribution. Impressed with the system, they decided to switch the entire portfolio to RateTiger. The result was immediate. Sarova Hotels is now selling across more than 35 channels including 19 online travel agents, company website, tour operators and GDSs.

Return on Investment
Sarova Hotels experienced an increase in bookings due to better OTA exposure. With the channel management digitization, the team could implement quicker sales process and improved reservation administration leading to higher occupancy and in turn better revenues.
