M Hotel Downtown by Millenium has improved their online sales through eRevMax’s seamless connectivity with leading OTAs. The 4-star property has been using RTConnect to update rate and inventory across online sales channels and receive reservations into their property management system (PMS).
Top concerns hotels need to know about the GDPR and how to prepare your action plan
The GDPR is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union and regulates how companies manage, use, and share personal data. The GDPR will take effect on May 25, 2018. The GDPR applies to natural persons, whatever their nationality or place of residence, whose personal data is processed and whose behavior is monitored while within the EU. This change in legislation means that nearly every online service is affected, and the regulation has already resulted in significant changes for US users as companies begin to adapt.

For hoteliers: 6 steps to success in text messaging and chat from an expert
As text messaging and chat become the communication channels of choice for consumers, more hotels are adapting to the trend by inviting travelers to connect with them by SMS, chat widget, or messaging app. Consumers love messaging because it’s fast, easy, and convenient.
Airbnb moves into MICE accommodation space
Airbnb has released its Airbnb for Events tool, offering event organisers and conference planners the ability to create an interactive map of Airbnb listings near their venues.
The data says: Global demand growth for Airbnb, TripAdvisor and Agoda
One of the main criteria for mastering global expansion is understanding the market you are about to enter and the elements that set that market apart. But just as important is being keenly aware of what is similar and which elements of an existing strategy can be applied ‘as is.’ Few examples show this process more clearly than Airbnb’s strategy in France where the company is enjoying a 25% traffic share increase among the top 20 sites in the sector.

M Hotel Downtown by Millennium Dubai endorses RateTiger for online distribution

M Hotel Downtown by Millenium has improved their online sales through eRevMax’s seamless connectivity with leading OTAs. The 4-star property has been using RTConnect to update rate and inventory across online sales channels and receive reservations into their property management system (PMS).

Middle East is the fastest-growing region for travel with UAE being the dominant market. With over 15 million overnight visitors, Dubai has seen double digit growth in mid-market travel segment. The city, being the business and shopping hub in the region with the highest smartphone penetration, has seen major shift in the entire travel value chain due to digitization – from travel research to booking to guest engagement.

Prior to RateTiger, M Hotel tried various channel managers to update rates and allotments on different OTAs but there was still a lot of manual task involved. Being a popular choice of guests, not having the ability to immediately update its rooms and rates was a potential handicap for its revenue stream and constant hindrance on staff. The extreme competition in Dubai hospitality sector fuelled by additional supply of rooms in the city has made managing online sales channels even more complex.

“The biggest challenge that we faced with our earlier distribution solutions was the time delay in sending ARI update to all channels. Proper distribution of rates and availability is very vital in eliminating parity issues which is an ongoing challenge with most of the hotels and one of the top most measurement factor which affects your search ranking in OTAs. RateTiger has really changed that considerably given the amount of data which is pushed to the channel manager,” said Unni Krishnan, Revenue Manager, M Hotel Downtown by Millenium.

RTConnect’s pool inventory model allows Unni and his team to continuously distribute its live rates and inventory to multiple booking channels and deliver updates back into its property management system (PMS) in real-time, without worrying about overbooking. eRevMax’s stable 2-way XML connection with all leading online sales channels have allowed them to easily connect with better performing OTAs.

“RateTiger seems to be following the most important rule of the technology world ‘Keeping it simple but powerful’!” summarized Unni Krishnan.

A brief history of property management systems
A lot of hotel websites, for example, show weather information, but it is unlikely that web agencies develop their own weather widgets from scratch. More likely, they connect to existing monitor apps, so that web users can check the temperature of their chosen destination without even realizing that the information is actually provided by an external source. This communication is made possible by the use of an API.

eRevMax completes 2-way integration with Winhotel PMS

Hotel connectivity expert, eRevMax has completed 2-way integration with Winhotel PMS. Mutual hotel customers can now get the benefit of automatic distribution of availability and rate to third party online booking sites whenever they are updated in the property management system and receive reservations from OTAs seamlessly.
Developed by Sequoiasoft, Winhotel PMS is one the largest property management systems in the French market and recommended by leading hotel chains like Logis, IdéHotel – SEH (InterHotel, Relais du Silence, Ptit Dej Hôtel, Qualys Hôtel), Châteaux & Hôtels Collection, Cadhi and UMIH Purchases. eRevMax’s distribution solutions are used by over 9000 hotels to update inventory and rates across various booking channels and seamlessly manage availability in the PMS as soon as a booking comes in.
“Sequoiasoft is delighted with this new partnership, which will offer an additional choice for channel managers to our customers and prospects. By connecting our PMS Winhôtel and CBP hotels to RTConnect solution, our hotel customers can take advantage of the power of eRevMax’s distribution solutions to market their rooms and increase their visibility on online booking sites,” said David Falcon, Product Manager at Sequoiasoft.

“This interface compliments our continuous efforts to offer our hotel customers superior connectivity between their technology solutions and OTAs. Our integration with Sequoiasoft eliminates the need for accommodation providers to maintain online inventory manually across each booking website and manually re-enter online reservations from booking websites into their PMS. This results in saving time, overheads and resources, while also helping avoid manual mistakes,” said Ashis Saha, SVP – Project Management, eRevMax.
