Hotels look beyond pride to court LGBTQ+ travelers all year

Hotel courtship of the LGBTQ community today is significantly more transparent: Marriott and Hilton are just as present at Pride parades as they are in support of legal issues. Both companies signed an amicus brief in 2015 calling the U.S. Supreme Court to strike down bans on same-sex marriage. The Standard, High Line, in New York City kicked off Pride last weekend with a performance from longtime ally Madonna.

The revived Palm Jebel Ali super-island is destined to become Dubai’s next luxury hub which will pull in the world’s richest buyers and tourists. Twice the size of Palm Jumeirah and set to house 35,000 families and boast over 80 hotels, Palm Jebel Ali is a testament to Dubai’s triumphant bounce-back post-Covid, and the emirate’s answer to insatiable demand for luxury living and hospitality.
